Amy Smart

Amy Smart, an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and raised in California and was raised in the state, but she began her modeling career in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as an actor in a TV movie titled 'Her Pricely Affair.' Following a difficult transition, she landed a small role in the "Starship Troopers..' It was not an easy time to make the transition between modeling and acting, as models were never considered to be good actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy never gave up. She outdid herself in her roles from the '70's' series and the feature film Varsity Blues. The 2005 film, a romantic comedy "Just Friends" featuring Ryan Reynolds gave her her first leading role. It was a significant box office success and Amy was finally able to get the recognition she'd been seeking for over a decade. She was still working on big films, like the "Crank" which starred Jason Statham.
