Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. She is Italian via her father's grandfather. Irish by the mother she had, German, English, Scottish and German. Linda grew in San Francisco Bay region, California being the eldest of four siblings. She became interested in acting at age ten, when she sang in the school's Christmas show. She continued to do school shows and also community theater. Linda attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. Her choice was from New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and television after she graduated. Linda chose LA. Linda was in Bone Chillers (1996), her first appearance in the role. She had her breakthrough role as a character in Freaks and Geeks (1998). The acclaimed show played the role of decathlete Lindsay Weir. The show received an Emmy Award under the category of Outstanding Casting Comedy Series.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on 5 April 1989) is an English actor from England. She began her acting career by appearing on Just William in 2010, which was a British TV series. Cinderella was her breakout performance following her appearance playing the character Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James then played The Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV version of War & Peace in 2016. In addition, she has starred in a variety of films, including Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018, and The Dig 2021, as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We're Going To Again (2019) and Yesterday (2018). Her performance as Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) was nominated for the Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
