LeBron Raymone James Sr. was born on December 30th, 1984. He is an American pro basketball player. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought to be one of the best basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James holds four NBA titles. Four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. and two Olympic golds. James is the player with the most points during playoffs and has and has the second highest number of career points and is the seventh player with the most career assists. James has 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams, and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He has competed in the ten NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011 and the year 2018. James made the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He was one of the few NBA player to reach 10,000 points in his career. James played basketball in St. Vincent St. Mary High School close to his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped by media. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. In 2004 he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly was one of the league's best players, and won the NBA MVP award in 2009 and 2010. James, who did not take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 was released as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was made clear by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a sports free-agent in history.
